PUBLIC AFFAIRS
This committee is tasked to ensure PICPA’s participation in public and community affairs that requires the technical expertise of the CPA like PBAC, services to cooperatives, promotion of the value of accountancy and tax consciousness campaign that will in turn create goodwill for the Institute. Whenever PICPA is invited to participate in election count or other contests or other public affairs , this committee is tasked to devise procedures and terms of reference that will cover acceptance, scope of services, deliverables , timetable and deadline and no liability clause and compliance with the covering laws and regulations, if there are any.
FUNCTIONS
- Formulate plans and programs on effective public relations of PICPA as a national organization.
- Recommend guidelines on public affairs related activity as entered into by PICPA in relation with other NGO’s, institutions or government instrumentalities and monitor the operations of such arrangements or relationships.
- Devise procedures and terms of reference to cover among others but not limited to: scope of work, deliverables, timetable and deadline and no clause liability and compliance with existing laws and regulations, if any, whenever PICPA is invited in public affairs work, election or other contests. The procedures should ensure that our members participating in this kind of work are adequately protected from suits , claims ,etc.
- Recommend guidelines for implementation of public affairs programs to be participated in regional and chapter levels and monitor the operations of such.
- Document and publish committee plans and programs of activities and their implementation and to make progress reports to the Board.
- Coordinate with the other committees as required by a program or project.
- Develop the Committee’s Plans and Budget for approval by the Liaison Director and for submission during the Annual Planning Conference.
