SOCIAL INVOLVEMENT

PICPA is committed to meaningful social involvement activities. This will continue to enhance PICPA’s image as a responsible corporate citizen. PICPA’s involvement maybe limited to matters concerning environment protection and maybe linked to our corporate sustainability efforts. This may come therefore in various initiatives such as participating in nationwide tree planting activities, promoting or helping the general public to understand the dangers of global warming/climate change and in campaign for activities that will reduce adverse impact of global warming /climate change to our living condition. The committee is tasked to implement PICPAs social involvement programs on a nationwide basis and in coordination with our Corporate Sustainability Responsibility Committee and the League of Foundations of the Philippines.

FUNCTIONS

1. Study and recommend to the Board, social involvement plans and programs for implementation on a nationwide basis with the involvement of regions and chapters.
   
   
2. Nominate deserving PICPAs who can be recognized through national awards for their significant contribution to PICPA in terms of social involvement activities.
   
   
3. Create and recommend high impact and socially relevant projects that can be identified with, initiated and sponsored nationally by PICPA and for implementation by regions and chapters.
   
   
4. Coordinate with the Corporate Sustainability Responsibility Committee for the appropriate programs to promote environmental protection and the adverse impact of global warming / climate change to our living conditions and develop programs that will help reduce such adverse impact.
   
   
5. Establish linkage and networking with the League of Corporate Foundations to obtain information as to the kind of social responsibility projects that can be developed by PICPA.
   
   
6. Document and publish social involvement activities by our regions and chapters.
   
   
7. Study and recommend programs intended to instill several consciousness and responsibility to our youth in coordination with our committee on student’s participation.
   
   
8. Develop the Committee’s Plans and Budget for approval by the Liaison Director and for submission during the Annual Planning Conference.
