AWARDS

The National Awards that will be given during the year are the following:

1. The Outstanding CPA of the Year based on the guidelines of the Professional Regulation Commission; this is a PRC Award which is given every PRC week held every third week of June
   
2. The PICPA awards given every Annual National Convention are as follows: The Honorary Lifetime Membership Awards; the outstanding CPA awards for each region, the outstanding awards for each sector, and the outstanding young achiever award for each sector the outstanding awards for special achievements like entrepreneurship, international relations and the Hall of Fame Award.

The selection process shall be based on the Board’s approved plan and procedures. It is very important that the integrity of the selection process is preserved at all times. This committee is tasked to implement properly the selection process in accordance with the approved policies and procedures and with confidentiality and integrity observed at all times.

FUNCTIONS

1. Evaluate the national awards policies, procedures and policies including the type, criteria and selection process and presentation format relating to the giving of the Annual National Awards and recommend changes, as necessary including an institutionalized designs for the plaques and statutes that are to be given.
   
2. Review the standard citation for the each award and revise, if necessary.
   
3. Undertake promotional activities, as may be necessary to encourage sectors, regions and chapters to submit nominees
   
4. Accept process and deliberate on the nomination strictly adhering to the set guidelines.
   
5. Prepare and execute an appropriate awarding ceremonies, subject to Board approval.
   
6. Coordinate with the Publications Committee to cover the selection and awarding ceremonies.
   
7. Develop the committee’s Plans and Budget for approval of the Liaison Director and for submission during the Annual Planning Conference
