BY-LAWS REVIEW COMMITTEE

Since our adoption of our new By Laws in 2005, there are some observations that a number of requirements in the Accountancy Law are not yet in effect in our By Laws. This Committee is tasked to review the consistency of our charter and By Laws with the Accountancy Law and its Implementing Rules and Regulations and to identify such inconsistencies and the required remedial actions. It is also important that our PICPA structure through our By Laws is understood by our members and this Committee is tasked to undertake the necessary steps to promote an understanding of our organization.

FUNCTIONS

1. Develop the necessary course materials to cover an understanding of our structure and By Laws.
   
   
2. Review our charter and By Laws as to its consistency with the Accountancy Law and develop a program of implementation to remedy the inconsistencies.
   
   
3. Schedule a series of chapter visits or regional visits to promote an understanding of the PICPA structure.
   
   
4. Develop the Committee’s Plans and Budget for approval by the Liaison Director and for submission to during the Annual Planning Conference
